Trustco’s Christmas Charity Support 2022

TL;DR: Each Christmas Trustco choose a local charity to support, to help those less fortunate. This year, because of the current economic turmoil, we chose three. If you’d like to support these good causes, please read on below.

Each year, Trustco PLC chooses a local charity to donate to during the Christmas holiday period. However, given the current economic downturn, we decided that we should do more – so this year we have chosen three Sussex-based charities that match our values and mean a lot to the Trustco team.

Each of the charities chosen resonates with our team, and Trustco PLC is proud to support these organisations in enabling their visions during what is a challenging time for many.

We understand what some of you might be thinking: Isn’t it self-serving to be telling you how wonderful we are by donating to charity? Wouldn’t it be more virtuous to donate without shouting about it online?

Here’s the thing: We don’t just want to donate some cash; we want you to donate your cash too. So read on to learn more about what these amazing organisations do…

Rockinghorse

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.

Audioactive

In the last decade, spending on youth services has been cut by 70%. Meanwhile, there has been a steady increase in loneliness, depression, and youth violence amongst young people. AudioActive is a non-profit organisation that creates social change through music and develops emerging talent. We provide free music sessions for young people, one-to-one mentoring and a range of social initiatives that aim to create better futures for the young people we work with.

Wadars

Wadars is a leading animal welfare charity and has been rescuing wildlife and rehoming companion animals since 1969. We work closely with local vets and wildlife rehabilitation centres in order to ensure the best outcomes for sick, orphaned, and injured animals.
